Jacinda Wilson

Jacinda Wilson is an accomplished educator, with a degree in Music Education K-12 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, teaching certification in both Nebraska and Wyoming, and just over 4 years of experience. She is a self-starter, having initiated several music activities in town, like Youth Choir, a toddler music class, and several concerts every year; and she is creative, constantly coming up with new ideas and ways of teaching music concepts and realities. Jacinda has always been musical, having played piano since she was small, singing pretty much her whole life, and played flute throughout middle, high school, and college. She has taught herself several other instruments, like guitar and oboe, and has also composed and arranged many songs. She collaborated with a variety of colleagues throughout her life, including various styles and genres of music. Some of her favorite collaborations have included: classical music in the Kearney Symphony Orchestra (on piccolo), participation in the UNK dance concerts, learning to improvise collectively in the UNK New Music Ensemble, and performing as a part of the select vocal ensemble Collegium. Jacinda's husband, two sons, and two dogs hold a special place in her heart and life, and she enjoys spending time with them whenever she can. When she gets some spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, sewing, and spending time with friends.
